The “Crown of Roses of Our of Lady Fátima” medal and chain set celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Fátima phenomenon, where the Leitão house has had the privilege of participating from early on.
In 1942, the Portuguese people entrusted the Leitão house with thousands of pieces of jewellery to make a queen’s crown for Our Lady. The donations were so generous that a second crown was made, in addition to the Precious Crown. This second “Crown of Roses”, also a queen’s crown, is made of gilded silver.
The crown, used in the image of Our Lady every day of the year (except for holidays), features the theme of roses, which commemorates the memory of Saint Elizabeth of Aragon, wife of king Dom Diniz and queen of Portugal at the end of the 14th century, and the legend of the miracle of the roses.
The Crown of Roses is carved in the gold and diamond medal, while the gold chain has a charm, also of gold, in the shape of a rose with a diamond in the centre.
The Leitão & Irmão house presents the Crown of Our Lady of Fátima Medal. A limited numbered edition in gold and diamonds, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the apparitions at Fátima. With a unique, exclusive design, this historical piece is full of symbolism.
